Law on Obtaining information to be amended in Azerbaijan

Baku. Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. The Parliamentâ€™s Committee on Legal Policy and State Building and the Committee on Human Rights held a joint meeting. APA reports that the amendments were made to the law on â€œObtaining informationâ€.

Chairman of the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Ali Huseynli informed about the draft. According to the amendments proposed to the law, the obtaining of information is allowed with the proviso that it is not contrary to purposes of the protection of political, economical, military, financial and credit and monetary interests of the Republic of Azerbaijan, protection of public order, health and morality, protection of rights and freedoms, commercial and the other economic interests of the other individuals, ensuring the prestige and impartiality of the court.

The proposal was put to vote and recommended to the plenary meeting of the Parliament.
