APA reports that in his speech, party chairman Vagif Mahmudov spoke about ACP’s role in the country’s policy, its steps towards the opposition’s integration. ACP leader Rasul Guliyev joined the assembly’s meeting through internet. Guliyev underlined the importance of achieving serious progresses in the party’s organization and activity. He said that the ACP should play a special role in the country’s policy. Guliyev nominated Musavat Assembly’s former chairman Sulhaddin Akbar to the post of party chairman. He said Akbar is well-known person in the country’s political arena, deeply knew political processes.
Akbar delivered a speech at the event. He announced ACP’s goals and intentions in case of his electing as chairman.
Then Mahmudov asked the party’s Supreme Assembly to accept his resignation and support Akbar’s candidacy. Akbar was elected ACP chairman as a result of voting.
