Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attends ceremony of Small Venice opening at Seaside National Park

Baku â€“ APA. Today the â€œSmall Venice Townâ€ in the territory of Seaside National Park was reopened after substantial reconstruction. According to APA, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony.

â€œSmall Venice Townâ€ was opened in 1960. On May 30, 2011, the Head of State gave instructions for reconstruction of â€œSmall Venice Townâ€ after familiarization with the construction of Azerbaijani Museum of Carpets and National Applied Arts. President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the general structure of the town was saved, but at the same time the channels were widened, new boats were brought, additional bridges and two restaurants were built there. One restaurant will offer delicious examples of Western cuisine and the other one â€“ Eastern.

President said he is satisfied with reconstruction work and gave instructions and recommendations on organizing all conditions at the highest level for residents and guests of the capital city to have there a wonderful rest.

Then President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took interest in construction of a new building for Azerbaijani Museum of Carpets and National Applied Arts in the National Seaside Parkâ€™s territory.
