Arif Hajili and several people detained in Public Chamberâ€™s rally go on hunger strike

The Musavat Party told APA that the head of partyâ€™s Central Executive Office Arif Hajili, chairman of partyâ€™s Youth Organization Tural Abbasli, his deputy Ahad Mammadli, party members Ulvi Guliyev, Rufat Hajibeyli, including APFP chairmanâ€™s advisor Sahib Karimov, APFP members Zulfugar Eyvazli, Mahammad Majidli, Babek Hasanov, Elnur Majidli and Shahin Hasanli joined the hunger strike which started on May 15.

Besides, mother of imprisoned Tural Abbasli, Bashkhanim Abbasova and Musavat party chairmanâ€™s advisor Dunyakhanim Jarullayeva started the hunger strike. They hold the hunger strike in Musavat Partyâ€™s headquarters.

Spokesperson for the Justice Ministryâ€™s Penitentiary Service Mehman Sadigov told APA that every prisoner had a right to go on strike: â€œAccording to the legislation, every prisoner, who went on strike, is isolated from the other prisoners and kept under doctor control. If he has health problems, the doctor intervenes in itâ€.

Sadigov didnâ€™t comment on the news on hunger strike of several prisoners detained during Public Chamberâ€™s rally held in April last year.
