President Ilham Aliyev participates in opening of new settlement constructed in Agjabedi region for IDPs from Lachin region

APA reports quoting â€œAzerTAcâ€ that at first the Head of State and his spouse visited national leader Heydar Aliyevâ€™s monument erected in the settlement and laid bunches of flowers at it. Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov informed that the large construction work was conducted here. The improvement work was conducted in parks, the Complex of Martyrs and around the building of Lachin Region Executive Body. The 21km natural gas pipeline was built and 4km drinking water line was restored. It was said that 13,000 of 71,200 IDPs live in Takhtakorpu. New residential settlements are being constructed there for IDPs. One of these settlements is a new settlement for 552 families of Lachin region built on the basis of Order of the Azerbaijani President on annexes to the State Program. The construction of this settlement is one of the important steps taken by Azerbaijani president towards improving the socio-economic life the IDPs.
The settlement has 360-place school, kindergarten, one club-community center, administrative building for settlementâ€™s representation. The settlement is provided with electricity, gas, drinking water.

The Head of State and his spouse were informed on main technical-economical indicators on the construction of new settlement. President Aliyev and his spouse became familiar with the conditions established in the house of IDP Jannat Aliyev.

Then they watched at the goods produced by IDPs from Lachin. The Head of State delivered a speech at the meeting with the settlementâ€™s residents. IDP Amirkhan Zeynalov thanked Azerbaijani President on behalf of the settlementâ€™s population. Then they President and his spouse became familiar with 360-place school built in the settlement.
President Aliyev became familiar with a stand reflecting the information about famous persons from Lachin.

The Head of State expressed satisfaction with the conditions established in the new settlement, gave task and recommendations.
