Book “Azerbaijan’s President: his struggle for peace and look into the future†by Graham Wilson presented in Baku - PHOTOSESSION
“The major and distinguishing feature of the book written by Graham Wilson is that alongside with the description of President’s image as a national leader, it contains objective analysis of the political processes that happened in Azerbaijan and beyond during his presidency. Another significant feature of the book is that it coincides with the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence. I do not doubt that this short historical period has left rich marks in the memories of the Azerbaijani people,†he said.
“Such substantial work written by a foreign author and that thoroughly describes the historical events has not been published yet. The first impression makes us to say that the book was realized as a result of author’s deep scientific researches, unbiased analysis and great interest to Azerbaijan. This is an admission of the author, who has perception of historical realitiesâ€, Ramiz Mehdiyev said.
He said the book was based on deep analyses. “The leaders, who are able to build and strengthen the state, to secure national unity and to protect the state’s place and position on the world’s map, make the state and people powerful. All of these issues are based on the leader’s personal character, belief and experience. This is undeniable fact. Azerbaijani people were convinced in it many times in its historical fateâ€.
The head of the Presidential Administration said that a new period started in Azerbaijan. “The changing world needs in new type of leaders. The leader’s capital is the confidence of the people. The main reason of the current concussions in some countries is that they had no leaders meeting the demands of the time. All of these processes make it topical to form generation of new-type leaders, who are able to find way out from the socio-political commotions, to be sensitive to innovations and to solve tense contradictionsâ€.
The event is continuing.
