Azerbaijani President: The principles of social justice fully established in Azerbaijan

"Of course, the country still faces problems, and it is natural. But these problems are solved, and most importantly, we have considered programs for to solve them. These programs cover all areas. Political reforms, the democratization process in Azerbaijan are successful. There are specific programs in the economic sphere, regional development, infrastructure projects, conceptual approaches related to foreign policy, and our policy shows that it is very successful. It is sometimes called multi-vector or a balanced policy. I think it is an independent policy, the policy of good will, the policy of protecting the interests of Azerbaijan. Today, we have built our business in all areas on the basis of specific programs and, thus, the development of the country is very successful and rapidly", - President Aliyev said.

According to the President, deepening political reforms in Azerbaijan will continue: "Azerbaijan has done much to promote democracy, human rights, the rule of law, and it will be in the future. We have become members of international organizations as a reliable partner and in a timely and adequately perform all their obligations. However, for political reform requires strong economic support. For the past 8 years, Azerbaijan shows the rate of development, which still has no analogue in the history of the world. Everyone can see it in all statistics. For eight years the economy has grown by 300 percent, industrial production by 300 percent, opened 950 000 new jobs, poverty reduced by 5 times - 500 percent, budget expenditures have increased about 20 times. Thus, provided a successful, sustainable and rapid development of the country. If we have 30 percent of these indicators, and it would be perceived as a great success. But the successes show that we are on the right track".

The president said that the principles of social justice are fully established in Azerbaijan: "We meet the principles of market economy. At the same time conducting a very strong social policy. If it was not so, no pension would rise by almost 40 percent, this year. In a short, carried out policy in the economic and social field has results. This policy will continue in the coming years, and I am sure that after several years in Azerbaijan, all problems in the economic and infrastructural find its solution".

"For 20 years, Azerbaijan has been able to achieve recognition in the region and the world as a reliable partner, as a dynamic, friendly country," the President said.

According to Azerbaijani President, Azerbaijan gained friends in the world due to its policy of good will. "Number of our partners, who wish to establish good relations with Azerbaijan, are increasing. And we want it. We have pursued a policy of good will in all spheres. We are the supporters of co-operation. We put forward proposals for cooperation. If necessary, do not deny our support for cooperation. Already can give such examples. Azerbaijan repeatedly helped friendship to their partners. We will continue this policy. We want the whole region to be in peace. To all the people living in an atmosphere of good-neighborliness. Prevailing in the country stability, development, policy of goodwill and great atmosphere further reinforce us. Azerbaijan is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country. This is our big advantage, our happiness. Residing in Azerbaijan, representatives of all nations and religions are our dear citizens. All of us are citizens of Azerbaijan.

Every citizen of Azerbaijan should play a role in the comprehensive development of our country and play. I am absolutely sure that all the problems facing the country will be successfully solved. For 20 years we have come a long way - the way of independence, sovereignty path, and the path of freedom. 20 years - and itâ€™s a long time, and small. Small, because the history of 20 years - it is not so long. For the development of an independent country 20 years - itâ€™s not such a long time. But at the same time, during these 20 years, done so much that we can perceive and treat these 20 years as a long term. These 20 years will be 120, 220, 520 years. Our independent republic will live forever. It depends on us, on what basis will be controlled by Azerbaijan. Today laid foundation - the independence, sovereignty, democracy, market economy, social justice are the foundations of statehood. A strong national ideology, the national spirit, national pride - these are the principles that point us the way. Much depends on us. Be independent, free - itâ€™s a great happiness. Previous generations have lived for centuries and have died with the dream of independence. They were not lucky enough to see that independence. We, our generation will be happy. We do not only see the independence, but also strengthen it. We are currently moving ahead our country, an independent state. Azerbaijan is controlled by the will of our people. Today Azerbaijan is formed through the work and talent of our people", - said President Aliyev.

The President emphasized that Azerbaijan is established on the basis of strong tradition, strong values, national and spiritual values. "Today, Azerbaijan is a sample of model country in some circles. It makes us happy. That is an assessment of progress made by Azerbaijan success. But at the same time, it increases our risk. We want to see things in the country were doing well, so the neighborhood was peace. In foreign policy, our desire is to grow the number of our friends. We have mobilized all their efforts to develop Azerbaijan, to create better conditions for people, to improve their material well-being, strengthen the economy. Azerbaijan is already a regional power center in the plane. The reason for this is not only in natural resources. Natural resources just gave us the initial impetus to ensure that we efficiently use them. At the core of our success are our policies, our vision for the future, our strategy, our unity. During these 20 years, Azerbaijani people showed civic solidarity. During these years the Azerbaijani people showed how a great nation it is. For 20 years we have made great strides. I am sure that in future we multiply these successes, we will work hard for the full development of our country and create a more powerful and beautiful country", - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.
