Round table held on â€œMagnificent 20 yearsâ€ devoted to 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Independence - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

The Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of YAP Ali Ahmedov said that the Azerbaijani people provided the irreversibility of Independence by choosing the path of Heydar Aliyev: â€œAll that can give the 20 years of independence to people, Azerbaijan has gained all this. After the declaration of independence, Azerbaijan faced with a dilemma - the chaos and the road to nowhere, or a way of Heydar Aliyev. As the Azerbaijani people believed more in the path of Heydar Aliyev, they chose himâ€.

Ahmedov said that in the first years of independence the state budget was 2 million dollars, today it has reached 20 billion U.S. dollars: â€œAzerbaijan over the years has come a long way of development, had become a leading state in the region. Its position among the nations of the world has become strongerâ€.

Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Bahar Muradova noted that the independence was the biggest success of Azerbaijani nation: â€œNew Azerbaijan Party has a special role in fact that Azerbaijan has reached such a development. Because 18 years of independence covers the time when NAP was in power. I am proud to be a Member of the NAP and participate in state buildingâ€.

Muradova brought to the attention that, Azerbaijan supported political pluralism in the country and wish the development of all political parties. Touching upon necessary steps takne in this direction, vice Speaker stressed that the main goal was the democratization and development of the country.

Muradova stressed the special role of Heydar Aliyev in strengthening of the independence and state-building, she spoke about his activities.

MPs Fattah Heydarov, Vahid Ahmedov, Ilyas Ismailov, Fazil Mustafa, Gudrat Hasanguliyev and others spoke about the restoration of Azerbaijan’s independence and strengthening of the independence of the historical process.
