SRC contest winners awarded

Baku. Victoria Dementieva â€“ APA. The winners of the contest organized by the Strategic Research Center under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the state independence were awarded on Thursday. Deputy Director of the Center Gulshan Pashayeva said organizers of the contest aimed to discover new talents, the young people, who have analytical thinking in the fields of politics, history, law, philosophy, international law and international relations, economy.

Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliamentâ€™ s committee on international and inter-parliamentary relations Samad Seyidov noted that there are good opportunities in Azerbaijan allowing the young people to discover their talents. He said the works submitted to the contest were in accordance with the world standards.

Elchin Babayev, head of the Scientific Fund under the President of Azerbaijan, spoke about the governmentâ€™s education policy. He noted that every year the state budget expenditures for the development of education are increased. Last year 6.6 million AZN were allocated for financing the Scientific Fund.

The students of the Azerbaijani universities, bachelors and masters of art, as well as Azerbaijani students studying abroad submitted their works on foreign policy, domestic policy and economy. 10 students became winners and 13 more received certificates.
