Ziyafet Asgarov: â€œCompletely established, formed democratic elections system was created in Azerbaijanâ€

APA reports the experts on elections issues of CIS countries and MPs participate in the event.

First Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafet Asgarov welcomed the guests on behalf of Parliamentâ€™s Chairman Ogtay Asadov, wished success to the work of the seminar. Asgarov said that the workshopâ€™s topic was dedicated to the topical issue: â€œOne of our purposes after Azerbaijanâ€™s achievement independence was forming of democratic election traditions. Azerbaijanâ€™s democratic elections tradition has started to form since 1993. Now the completely established, formed democratic system has been formed in Azerbaijan. 4 presidential, 4 parliamentary, 4 referendums and 3 municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani people have adopted enough election cultureâ€.

Then the presentation ceremony of â€œThe experience of democratic election the Republic of Azerbaijan: Parliamentary criteriaâ€ was held. During informing about the book printed in Azerbaijani and Russian languages, Secretary General of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Mikhail Krotov spoke about the significance of this book.
