MPs make proposals at parliamentâ€™s autumn session

According to APA, MP Zahid Oruj emphasized the importance of adoption of law on information security. He said currently the information space in the country is under the outside influences and this situation makes is necessary to adopt this law.

MP Fazil Mustafa protested the dismissal of some lawyers from the Lawyers Board because their activity. He emphasized the importance of reforms in the Lawyers Board. â€œAzerbaijan will celebrate 20th anniversary of its state independence soon, but some of the persons, who had a role in achieving independence, - Arif Hajili, Nemat Panahli are in jail. Recently ex-president Ayaz Mutallibov was allowed to return to the country. It will be generous step to pardon those jailed persons on the eve of 20th anniversary of the independenceâ€.

MP Ilyas Ismayilov also supported the Fazil Mustafaâ€™s ideas and emphasized the importance of adoption of law on political parties.

MP Igbal Agazadeh said the persons arrested in the April 2 demonstration are still on trial. According to him, detention of those persons while the investigation is going on, casts doubt on the activity of courts, such issues may blacklist Azerbaijan by the international organizations again.

MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev offered to hold special meeting of the parliament on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the state independence, appeal to the head of state for conferring â€œIstiglalâ€ order on the persons, who signed the independence act. He underlined the importance of awarding leader of the national liberation movement Abulfaz Elchibey. The parliamentarian also offered to adopt a draft law to strengthen the social protection of the first members of the parliament and their families.

The other parliamentarians drew attention to the solution of the education-related problems, improvement of social conditions of war veterans, restriction of sale of cigarettes and smoking, offers of voters.

Following this, the agenda of todayâ€™s meeting was confirmed.
