Drivers to pay the penalties for administrative offences through banks and cards

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today issued decree on some measures to strengthen social security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) Road Patrol Service staff and in the field of traffic regulation, APA reports quoting the press service of Azerbaijani President.

According to the decree25 percent of the amounts involved as penalty for violation of traffic rules will be add to wages of the traffic officers of Interior Ministry Road Patrol Service.

The Cabinet of Ministers is commissioned within one month to submit to the President proposals for changes in legislation to ensure payment the penalties for the violation of administrative offences related to violation of traffic rules through banks and cards, as well as proposals to align with the relevant provisions of the Code of Administrative Violations of the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic, "regarding revocation of driving rights of those who have committed administrative violations. In addition, the Cabinet instructed to bring into conformity with this decree, "Rules for the intended use of funds from fines imposed on individuals and entities for violations of the Law on Road Traffic," "approved by Resolution â„– 60 dated April 6, 1999, and also resolve all outstanding issues arising from this decree.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs is commissioned with ensuring removal of driving licenses from drivers committed administrative violations only in cases stipulated by the Code of Administrative Offences, as well as increase control over compliance officers, road traffic, the existing legislation on the issue of service and for administrative offences.
