New Azerbaijani Party submits candidate list for CEC membership to Parliament

Baku. Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. The ruling New Azerbaijani Party (YAP) determined and approved its candidates to the membership of the Central Election Commission (CEC), YAP deputy secretary, MP Mubariz Gurbanli told APA.

He said that the YAP candidates are those who have represented the party in the CEC for the last 5 years. They are Mazahir Panahov, Shaitdin Aliyev, Fuad Javadov, Ramiz Ibrahimov, Valida Kazimova and Gabil Orujov.

Gurbanli said that they had submitted the candidate list to the Parliament.

Among the minority parties in the Parliament the Whole Azerbaijan Popular Front Party(BAXCP) nominated Mikayil Rahimli, Civil Solidarity Party (CSP) â€“ Almas Gahramanli, Umid Party â€“ Akif Gurbanov, Democratic Reforms Party (DRP) â€“ Tamam Jafarli, Great System Party (GSP) â€“ Bakhsheyish Asgarov, Ana Vatan (Motherland) Party â€“ Etibar Guliyev, Justice Party â€“ Elkhan Shukurlu.

Non-party members of the parliament nominated Natig Mammadov, Azer Taghiyev, Arifa Mukhtaorva, Ilham Mammadov, Nizami Nadirov and Tofig Hasanov (among them the candidacy of Natig Mammadov was coordinated with YAP and Arifa Mukhtarova with the representatives of minority parties) to CEC.

The issue on reestablishment of CEC consisting 18 persons will be reviewed at one of the next meetings of the Parliament.
