Azerbaijani national security and interior ministries express reaction to alert on potential terrorist attacks in Azerbaijan

â€œAzerbaijan is one the countries where the stability is reliably securedâ€, said chief of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Sadig Gozalov. He said there was no country which hedged against the terrorist threat. â€œAll diplomatic missions in Azerbaijan, residences of their staff members are secured. The situation is under the serious control in the country. Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs are fulfilling their duties in this fieldâ€.

Last month US and British embassies alert to their citizens of possible terrorist attack in Azerbaijan. The US embassy reiterated alert yesterday. Israeli anti-terror headquarters recommended to their citizens to avoid traveling to nine countries, including Azerbaijan. Israeli embassy in Azerbaijan suspended its activity on Monday.
