Parliament approves draft law on amendments and annexes to Electoral Code

According to APA, chairman of the parliamentary committee for legal policy and state-building Ali Huseynli informed about the amendments and annexes.

The committee chairman said the amendments had technical character and the Code was made in accordance with the Constitution. â€œThe amendments and annexes arise from the amendments to the Constitution. Essence of the amendments allows the extension of the parliamentary and presidential electionsâ€™ terms in exceptional cases. The expression â€œwhile holding the elections is impossible due to the military operations, the Central Election Commission appeals the Constitutional Court according to Part 1 of Article 84 and Part 5 of Article 101 of the Constitutionâ€ was added to the Electoral Code.
