Conference held on occasion of 18th anniversary of New Azerbaijan Party

APA reports that YAP Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov, his assistants Siyavush Novruzov, Mubariz Gurbanli and other famous figures participated in the event.

Members of YAP, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyn Bagirov, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov, Chairman of Land and Cartography Garib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Aslan Aslanov also attended the event. The persons, who won the parliamentary elections on November 7, the persons, who did not participate in the elections and those who failed to win the elections (Ahad Abiyev, Aydin Hasanov, Sevindik Hatamov) also participated in the event.

Deputy Chairman, Executive Secretary of YAP Ali Ahmadov congratulated the party chairman and members on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of New Azerbaijan Party. He underlined that the 18 years passed since the establishment of YAP were the years of honor and dignity.
â€œThese are the years of Azerbaijanâ€™s strengthening, mightiness and recognition in the world. YAP has been the political giant in Azerbaijan for 18 years,â€ he said.

Ali Ahmadov congratulated 71 YAP members, who won in the parliamentary elections on November 7.

Member of YAP Management Board Zahid Garalov spoke about YAPâ€™s establishment, how the intellectuals invited the first chairman of the party Heydar Aliyev to Baku and YAPâ€™s role in the life of the country.

Member of YAPâ€™s Political Board Eldar Ibrahimov touched on the history of the partyâ€™s establishment. According to him, the party was founded in the hard times of the country, there were attempts inside the party to destroy the organization.
â€œBut Heydar Aliyev prevented it. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is following his path,â€ he said.

Other famous figures also addressed the event.

The Constituent Assembly of YAP was chaired by Heydar Aliyev on November 21, 1992. The Party was registered at the Justice Ministry on December 18, 1992.
