Baku hosts conference entitled â€œConstitutional mechanism of protection of human rights and freedomsâ€- <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION </font>

According to APA, the conference was organized by the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan and Venice Commission of the Council of Europe.

In his welcoming speech, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullayev spoke about the history of Constitution in the country and said this document served the development of human rights in Azerbaijan: â€œOne of the chapters of the Constitution is dedicated to the protection of human rightsâ€.

First vice speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Ziyafat Asgarov underlined the important role of the Constitution in the development of democracy in the country.

Representative of the Venice Commission Tanja Gerwien addressed the conference and conveyed best wishes of Venice Commissionâ€™s Chairman Gianni Buuicchio, who couldnâ€™t attend the conference.

Representatives of the Turkish, Georgian, Kazakh, German, Russian and Ukrainian constitutional courts attend the conference.
