Chief of the Presidential Administration: Azerbaijani government is making efforts to put an end to the occupation of the territories

But the occupation of our territories by the neighboring state has not ended. Despite the UN Security Councilâ€™s four resolutions, 20 percent of the Azerbaijani territories are still under occupation. This occupation must end. The Azerbaijani government is making efforts for this,â€ said Chief of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ramiz Mehdiyev in the presentation of UNDP Human Development Report 2010 â€œThe Real Wealth of Nations: Pathways to Human Developmentâ€, APA reports.

Ramiz Mehdiyev said the Azerbaijani government is making efforts to put an end to the occupation and taking measures for the protection of the rights of refugees and IDPs.
â€œArmenia violates the norms and principles of the international law. Nagorno Karabakh has never been the territory of Armenians. It was the territory populated by Caucasian Albans. The name Artsakh given to Karabakh by Armenians also exists in Zoroastrianism. Later, when Christianity spread in the Caucasian Albania one of the main Christian temples of the country was in Karabakh,â€ he said.
