Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. Azerbaijani parliament will consider the issue on confirming Shaittin Aliyev as member of the Central Election Commission, the parliament told APA. Shaittin Aliyev was nominated by the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) after the death of Svetlana Gasimova.
Shaittin Aliyev is currently senior advisor at the parliament.
Two other parties have put forward candidates for the vacancies in the CEC. The Supreme Assembly of the United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party has nominated Mikayil Rahimov, Great Establishment Party Ibrahim Mammadov.
These seats are empty as Musavat Party refused to send representatives.
