Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. The parties of the Azadlig bloc attempted to hold a protest action, APA reports. Though the organizers had spread information that they would hold a protest action outside Narimanov cinema, the venue of the unsanctioned action was changed. The protesters gathered near Icherisheher metro station at 15.00 and attempted to march. But the police prevented this attempt. Over 20 protesters were detained. 6 of them were released. The others were taken to Sabail district police office.
The protesters demanded creation of democratic atmosphere before the parliamentary elections, change of the election code, formation of the composition of election commissions on parity basis.
