Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. Scientific-practical conference “Karabakh: yesterday, today and tomorrow” was held in Human Rights Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) on the initiative of Karabakh Liberation Organization. APA reports that specialists on history, political science, law, economy, philology attended the conference.

Chairman of the Karabakh Liberation Organization Akif Nagi said there is a need to continue such conferences. He said the reports to be made in the conference were gathered and published in the book “Karabakh: yesterday, today and tomorrow”.
“Compared with the first conferences the scientific level of the recent conferences has increased. Only scientific aspects of the problem are discussed in these conferences,” he said.

Delivering speech department chief of ANAS Gasim Hajiyev said that within recent years Karabakh Liberation Organization’s policy considers possible military solution together with peaceful solution to the problem. He spoke about occurrence of a problem, peace process and delivered a lecture on Vladimir Kazimirov’s book “Peace for Karabakh”. To him, this book calls for war, not for peace: “Kazimirov accuses OSCE. It criticizes the international organization for not taking measures corresponding the interests of Russia, but not for taking resolute measures against Armenia which keeps Azerbaijani territories under occupation”.

It is considered to convey about 40 scientific lectures to the attention of participants at the event which will last one day. Issues on Karabakh’s history, Armenian aggression toward Azerbaijan, ways of solution to the conflict have been touched in those lectures.

Note that, it is the 9th conference.
