“I consider Heydar Aliyev a bright star of the human galaxy. I am happy that I worked with him. It would be enough for me, even if I had not achieved anything in the life. I have got acquainted with several generations of the leaderships of over 60 countries, but I have not seen a person and the head of state like Heydar Aliyev,” he said.

Former parliamentarian Karim Karimli said more than 100 books were written about Heydar Aliyev after his death.
“Along with the valuable books, there also are books that is not worthy of Heydar Aliyev’s life and activity. Especially these books do not cover well his activity against the USSR after returning from Moscow to Baku,” he said.

Committee chairman of the parliament Eldar Ibrahimov said one of the most significant merits of Heydar Aliyev was that he held the session of Nakhchivan Supreme Soviet and admitted the tricolor flag as the flag of the Autonomous Republic.
