Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov: Iranian religious circles ordered the murder of academician Ziya Bunyadov and the murderers were granted asylum in that country

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Zakir Garalov, whose appointment as Azerbaijanâ€™s Prosecutor General has been confirmed by the parliament today, addressed the parliamentarians, APA reports. Zakir Garalov said criminal case on journalist Elmar Huseynovâ€™s murder had been solved.
â€œExperts from all EU member states were invited to the investigation of Elmar Huseynovâ€™s murder. A day after the murder, Azerbaijani President held the meeting of the Security Council. This murder was committed in 2005 when attempts were made to violate socio-political stability in the country,â€ he said.

Zakir Garalov also touched on the murder of academician Ziya Bunyadov.
â€œThis issue on this murder is clear. This murder was ordered by religious circles of Iran. The persons, who committed the murder, were granted asylum in Iran,â€ he said.

Prosecutor General said political parties must report about the sources of their financing.
â€œIt is high time to do it. It must be known by what sources they are financed. We will not allow violation of socio-political stability in the country,â€ he said.
