Azerbaijanâ€™s ruling party holds roundtable â€œFalsification of the Centuryâ€ dedicated to so-called â€œArmenian genocideâ€ - <font color=red>PHOTO </font>

According to APA, YAP leadership, members of the parliament, leaders of the political parties and historians attended the round table.

YAP Deputy Chairman Ali Ahmadov said Turkey and Azerbaijan became targets of Armenian falsification for long years. â€œThis is not only result of the Armenian propaganda. The forces interested in the region are also supporting and accepting this falsification. Some countries are participating in the â€œgenocideâ€ gameâ€.

Director of the Institute of History of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Yagub Mahmoudov said â€œgenocideâ€ claims of Armenians were completely false. The historian said Armenians tried to accomplish their interests introducing their movement from one part of Ottoman Empire to other in 1915 as genocide. â€œThe historians didnâ€™t confirm the fact of â€œArmenian genocideâ€. The genocide was committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis from time to time there are enough materials proving thatâ€.

Leader of the Civil Solidarity Party Sabir Rustamkhanli said that Turkey and Azerbaijan couldnâ€™t step back in this situation because it would make Armenians and their supporters to move forward.

Leader of Justice Party Ilyas Ismayilov, members of the parliament Vahid Ahmadov, Bakhtiyar Aliyev, Fazail Aghamali, Arif Rahimzadeh, Asim Mollazadeh also considered it necessary for Turkey and Azerbaijan to make joint steps for prevention of â€œArmenian genocideâ€ propaganda.

Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Bahar Muradova said Azerbaijan should extend its cooperation with the eastern countries alongside with Europe. She also proposed to hold international conference on prevention of false Armenian campaign.
