Ali Hasanov: â€œAll candidates will be provided with necessary opportunities for free assembly in accordance with the Electoral Code in all phases of the electionsâ€

Reacting to the ideas of PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu about increasing of venues for the actions, Hasanov said: â€œThis issue is not on agenda. Such venues will be allocated during the election campaign and media organizations will be previously informed about thatâ€.

Answering the question about possible amendments to the Electoral Code, the official said that the Electoral Code was prepared in accordance with the recommendations of the Council of Europe, OSCE and other international organizations. â€œThey prove that such Electoral Code gives an opportunity to conduct democratic elections and it meets the European standards and therefore we donâ€™t see necessity to change it. If there are such proposals, it can be discussed. But generally the amendments to the Electoral Code are not on agendaâ€.

Hasanov said composition of the elections commissions and institutions could be changed only for making them more professional.
