ICESCO assesses condition of 81 cultural heritage sites in liberated territories

ICESCO has assessed the condition of 81 cultural heritage sites in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, APA reports.

This was reflected on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025, information on mass graves discovered in the liberated territories was submitted to the UN Human Rights Council’s Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances.

As a result of cooperation with ICESCO, the second international technical mission to the liberated territories was organized with the participation of the organization’s representatives and international experts in order to assess the post-conflict condition of cultural heritage.

The report prepared following the mission evaluates the damage inflicted on cultural property by Armenia during the occupation period and includes the condition and individual assessment of 81 cultural heritage monuments.
