“In total, 706 historical and cultural monuments were registered in the territories freed from the occupation of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” said Deputy Minister of Culture Seadat Yusifova at the conference on "Ancient texts and classical sources expose Armenian forgeries and fabrications or the truths of Zangezur, ancient Azerbaijani-Turkish lands" on the occasion of the World Book and Copyright Day within the "Year of Heydar Aliyev", APA reports.
According to her, 11 of them are of world importance (6 of them are architectural of world importance, 5 of them are of archaeological importance), 240-1 are of national importance (119 of them are of the architectural importance of the country, 121 are of national importance are archaeological), 455 are monuments of local importance (393 of them are the architecture of local importance, 23 of them are gardens and parks, monumental and memorial, 22 of them are archaeological monuments of local importance, 17 are examples of decorative and applied art).
