The fourth meeting of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Joint Cultural Commission was held at the National Library of Azerbaijan named after Mirza Fatali Akhundov, the Ministry of Culture told APA.
The meeting was chaired by Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Culture, Farid Jafarov, and Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, Batuhan Mumcu.
After the speeches, the protocol of the fourth meeting of the Joint Commission was signed. The protocol includes matters related to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries and further expanding cooperation. The document covers topics such as cultural heritage, museology, collaboration within international organizations, cinema, librarianship, creative industries and performing arts, concerts and festivals, exchange of experiences, and more.
The parties have agreed that the next meeting of the Joint Commission will be held in Türkiye in 2025.
The exact date and other details of the meeting will be determined through diplomatic channels. At the end of the meeting, reciprocal commemorative gifts were presented.
Note that the third meeting of the commission was held on November 13, 2023, in Ankara.
