“Unfortunately, we have exhibits that are displayed in world museums under the name of Iran or the East, especially our carpets,” the Director of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History, Doctor of History, Professor Naila Valikhanli told APA.
Professor Naila Valikhanli noted the importance of highlighting the fact that these exhibits belong to Azerbaijan.
“It is very important to highlight, reveal, and promote the fact that these exhibits belong to Azerbaijan. And it is impossible to change this process suddenly, to correct it immediately. For this, there should be evidence-based on serious historical sources. We are trying to find that evidence. In this sense, it is very important to note that it belongs to Azerbaijan on the exhibits that are displayed in world museums and belong to us.”
