Shamakhi, which has recently become the venue for a number of memorable events and festivals, will host the International Barbecue Festival this time, APA reports.
For the first time in Azerbaijan, the International Barbecue Festival will be held on October 4-5 in the Meysari village of Shamakhi.
The festival is organized with the support of the Shamakhi District Executive Power, Nasimi Parks Complex, “Abqora” restaurant, and international culinary judge Sahib-David Israfilov (Don David).
The festival will feature the participation of Willem Vink, president of the World Barbecue Association (WBQA); Christopher Sandford, chief judge of the World Barbecue Association; Thomas Gugler, former president of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) and personal chef to the King of Saudi Arabia; as well as renowned chefs from various countries, presidents of culinary associations from many countries, Michelin award-winning masters, and culinary judges.
The main goal of this international event, where magnificent barbecue demonstrations will be presented, is to strengthen cultural exchange as well as to promote Azerbaijan’s hospitality, cuisine, and cultural values to the world.
In specially designated zones, professional chefs representing Azerbaijan as well as various countries around the world will showcase different flavors and cooking techniques, and share their culinary skills.
One of the highlights of the event will be a competition held among journalists and bloggers. At the end of the competition, teams that stand out in taste, cooking level, and presentation style will compete for certificates, medals, and the main cup presented by the partners.
Those who wish to participate in the festival can register through the website iTicket.az.
