# 14 January 2026 17:42 (UTC +04:00)

Measures will be taken to improve activities related to the protection of cultural heritage, including archaeological monuments, in the liberated territories, to raise international awareness about the damage caused to cultural heritage, and to ensure compensation for the damage, APA reports.

This is reflected in the “Azerbaijan Culture – 2040” Concept of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, approved by an order of President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the document, the Ministry of Culture, together with ANAS, State Historical Agency, Shusha City State Historical-Architectural Reserve, and other relevant state bodies (institutions), must, in 2026–2030, analyze the current situation, systematize data, prepare and approve an action plan, implement measures for the protection of cultural heritage, including archaeological monuments, and ensure the integration of the results into the “e-culture” platform.
