As part of the 8th International “Kharibulbul” Music Festival organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture in Shusha, a theatrical performance titled “Babalı Sərvərin boynuna” (as Uzeyir Bey would say: "Let the blame fall on Sarvar") was staged in front of one of Shusha’s beautiful architectural landmarks – the palace of Khurshidbanu Natavan, the daughter of the Khan, APA reports.
The play was performed by students of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.
The performance was inspired by the satirical writings (feuilletons) of Uzeyir Hajibeyli.
The play presented a creative and unique take on social themes written by the author with humor and satire.
The director of the play is Gumrah Omar, and the music design was created by Azer Hajiaskerli.
Event participants emphasized that such projects enrich the cultural life of Shusha and are of particular importance in terms of preserving and promoting national heritage. The performance was also praised as a successful initiative for supporting young talents and enhancing their stage experience.
