Abulfas Garayev visits Cuba

Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev left for Cuba on Tuesday at the invitation of the Cuban Minister of Culture and Tourism, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Intigam Humbatov told APA. The ministers will focus on the development of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture and tourism, as well as extension of relations in the different spheres and will sign an agreement on the tourism cooperation during the visit, which will last until March 3. The agreement was planned in the first meeting of the Azerbaijan-Cuba intergovernmental commission in Havana on November 30, 2007. The minister will also meet with the Cuban co-chair of the intergovernmental commission to schedule the second meeting of the commission. Minister Abulfas Garayev was appointed the Azerbaijani co-chair of the Azerbaijan-Cuba intergovernmental commission on the presidential order on January 16, 2009.
