Eurovision spokesman: “Political songs will not be allowed in Eurovision”

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova–APA. “Political songs will not be allowed in the Eurovision Song Contest”, Spokesman for Eurovision administration said, APA reports quoting RIA-Novosty agency. He said political songs were never allowed in the Eurovision and added that the administration would express its opinion on Georgian choice after the completion of song admission on March 16. He also noted that the European Broadcasting Union has not said its opinion on the Georgia’s anti-Russian song yet. The spokesman said all songs should be submitted until March 16 and the participants had a chance to change their choices in this period.
Georgian “Stephane&3G” group will perform “We Don’t Wanna Put In” in the Eurovision 2009 Song Contest.
