Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. Culture days of Turkey will be held in Azerbaijan in 2009, Culture Minister of Turkey Ertugrul Gunay said, APA reports. The minister mentioned that Baku had been declared the Capital of Islamic Culture 2009 and the events would be held within this framework. Ertugrul Gunay said culture days of Azerbaijan would be held in Turkey in 2010. The minister noted that Istanbul had been declared European Capital of Culture 2010 and the events would be held on this occasion.
Appreciating Baku Declaration adopted at the Council of Europe Conference of the Ministers responsible for Culture the minister said he had great expectations from the declaration.
