Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Javid Gureyshi said relations between the two countries are developing rapidly ands business forums play a great part in increasing trade turnover and improving investment climate.
ACE President Alakbar Mammadov said trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Pakistan made up $1.7m this year and this figure is very small.
“Azerbaijan exported goods of $600 000 to Pakistan and imported goods of 1.1m. The import includes medicines, leather goods, foodstuffs, rice and other goods. The trade turnover doesn’t use the existing potential, we think,� he said.
Pakistani delegation head Sarfraz Ahmed said Pakistan specialized in medicines in the world, which makes up $80m of $16bn annual trade turnover of Pakistan.
