Abulfas Garayev: â€œWe should protect our history and cultureâ€

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova â€“ APA. Ashug art of Azerbaijan will be included into the UNESCO cultural heritage list in October this year, Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev said, APA reports. The Minister said historical documents, exhibits of ashug art should be protected carefully and shown to the tourists.
â€œAfter ashug art is included into the UNESCO list, everyone coming to the country will want to acquaint himself with this art. But the exhibits of ashug art kept in the museums are in bad condition. There are two sazs are hanged in some of the museums. Can we show it to the tourists,â€ he said.

Garayev considers that attention should be increased to the ashug art, special corner should be created in the museums.
â€œWe want to bring the world to Azerbaijan, but we can not meet them properly. Armenians misappropriate our history, and we forget our history. If it continues, we will lose all we have. We should protect our history and culture,â€ he said.
