Azerbaijani delegation participates in International Transport Forum Summit

On May 22-24, the Summit of the International Transport Forum (ITF Summit 2024) dedicated to the topic of green transport was held in Leipzig, Germany, with more than 1,500 participants, including transport ministers and representatives of a number of international organizations, APA-Economics reports.

Azerbaijan, the 2nd Vice President of the Forum, was represented for the first time with a national pavilion at the exhibition held as part of the Summit organized by the the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the support of COP29 Operating Company

Azerbaijan was represented at the event by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov.

Note that currently, the International Transport Forum has 69 members. The Republic of Azerbaijan is a member of ITF since 1998. At the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Transport held within the framework of the Summit last year, Azerbaijan was unanimously elected as the president of the ITF for 2025-2026 for the first time in its history.
