"Only 0.3% of climate finance reaches us, family farm organizations," Alberto Broch, a representative of the World Rural Forum said during his speech at the event titled "COP to COP Agrifood Legacies: A Key to Achieving Global Climate Goals", APA reports.
He mentioned that he was speaking on behalf of 50 million family farms represented by the World Rural Forum.
"We propose solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation, create resilience, ensure food security, and address issues of soil degradation and water scarcity. But who grows the land? It is family farmers who produce 80% of the world's food. Unfortunately, we are the most affected by the climate crisis and do not receive enough support to adapt and transform food systems," Alberto Broch added.
