On November 20, a ministerial roundtable on "Sustainable, digital Middle Corridor and beyond" will be held within the framework of COP29, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport told APA-Economics.
According to the information, the aim of the event is to encourage countries to digitalize the Middle Corridor and other international transport routes.
The following topics will be discussed at the event:
- Successful experiences in developing green, sustainable transport infrastructure;
- The role of innovative technologies in reducing carbon emissions in freight transport;
- Examples of using digitalization and intelligent transport systems to increase energy efficiency and improve operational connectivity;
- The potential role of automation and artificial intelligence in ensuring sustainable transport connections;
- The impact of the digital transformation of transport corridors on the workforce, human resource development and green job creation opportunities;
- The role of Multilateral Development Banks in the development of sustainable and digital transport corridors.
At the end of the event, a communiqué reflecting the collective commitment to achieving progress on sustainable development and digital transformation in the region is expected to be adopted.
