"It is clear to us that we should work to eliminate the problems of developing countries," COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev said at the Leaders’ Summit of the Small Islands Developing States on Climate Change held on November 13 as part of COP29, APA reports.
The President of COP29 noted that discussions had been held with the heads of the World Bank and other international financial organizations on this issue: "We are already discussing the Loss and Damage Fund within the framework of COP29. Azerbaijan, taking into account the calls, has presented its plans. Azerbaijan will use every opportunity to achieve our upcoming goals. Supporting island states is a moral duty for all of us. If multilateral climate action does not benefit these countries, it will be ineffective. We will work to address these issues within the framework of COP29. Let us unite for a green world."
