Climate Action Declaration on Water adopted for the first time at COP29

The Declaration of Climate Action on Water was adopted for the first time within the framework of COP29, APA reports.

The declaration was signed by COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program Inger Andersen.

Noted that the "Baku Water Dialogue" platform aims to expand global cooperation in the fight against climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution and desertification. The adopted Water Declaration will contribute to building new partnerships and strengthening policy measures in this direction.
