Russia’s “Chestny Znak” state labeling system has suspended the sale of Armenian-produced “Jermuk” mineral water in stores, said Deputy General Director of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies, Revaz Yusupov, APA reports.
According to him, a batch of 338,000 bottles currently in circulation has been withdrawn from sale until the inspection is completed.
The suspension of the product’s circulation is linked to a letter from the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare of Russia (Rospotrebnadzor). The letter states the “need to take urgent measures to prevent possible harm to the life and health of Russian citizens.”
The reason for the blocking was cited as “violation of mandatory requirements.”
The ban applies to products manufactured on February 17, 2026, and March 5, 2026.
Yusupov added that “until the inspection is completed, these products will not reach consumers.”
