Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev for works he did during his presidency to CSTO. V. Putin said that Kyrgyzstan will chair CSTO.
Then the meeting was continued with participation of defense ministers of the CSTO member states.
The participants of the meeting discussed issues on upgrading security systems, growth of military structure of the CSTO till 2020, and situation in Afghanistan as well as Uzbekistan's appeal for withdrawal from the organization in June of current year.
