The Anti-Corruption Committee has disclosed details of the criminal case opened against Robert Kocharyan, the second President of the Republic of Armenia.
According to Armenpress, the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia issued a statement in this regard.
According to the information, it was established that while serving as President of Armenia, Kocharyan, acting in collusion with persons close to him and using his official position, acquired a number of valuable properties of social and economic significance that had been removed from state ownership on various fictitious grounds and sold at prices significantly below market value.
Six people, including the former president, his son and other individuals involved in the criminal schemes, have been detained.

Sedrak Kocharyan, the son of Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan, has been taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
It was reported that employees of Armenia’s National Security Service are currently at Robert Kocharyan’s home, and law enforcement agencies are continuing searches at the house.
According to the report, members of the Kocharyan family are also currently at the house.
It should be noted that it was previously reported that Robert Kocharyan had been taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee, while a search was conducted at the home of his son Levon Kocharyan.

Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan has been taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee, Bagrat Mikoyan, head of Robert Kocharyan’s office, said, APA reports.
According to him, investigators took Robert Kocharyan to the Anti-Corruption Committee in the morning.
At the same time, it has been officially confirmed that a search is being conducted at the home of Robert Kocharyan’s son, Levon Kocharyan.
Marina Ohanyan, spokesperson for Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee, said that large-scale investigative measures are being carried out at dozens of addresses as part of investigations into corruption cases.
The Committee stated that additional information would be provided if necessary.
According to Armenian media, employees of the Anti-Corruption Committee are currently also carrying out investigative measures at the Orange Premium Fitness Club, owned by the Kocharyan family, as well as at a Toyota car dealership.
