Ukraine did not sign multilateral protocol on monitoring of gas transit via Russia

Moscow-APA. Ukraine did not sign an agreement on independent monitors to verify flows of Russia gas through its territory to Europe , Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said that the document will come into force when Ukrainian President signs the document .
There was trilateral meeting between Ukrainian President, Prime Minister and Czechian Prime Minister yesterday.
Ukraine will sign an agreement on independent monitors to verify flows of Russia gas through its territory to Europe â€œ as soon as possibleâ€, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said on Friday. European observers have already started monitoring .
’Until the protocol has been signed by all sides, these specialists do not have the status of observers. Furthermore, there is nothing to ’monitor’ in Kiev.
’The monitoring work must take place at entry and exit points of Ukraine’s gas transit system and in Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities,â€ Gazprom spokesman said .
