Cadet takes four hostages in Omsk

Omsk – APA. A cadet of the Tank Engineering Institute in Omsk, Russia took four hostages and barricaded one of the apartments in the city. According to APA, the second course student Denis Gaponenko left the post with his combat gun, took a taxi and moved toward the city. When the law-enforcement bodies identified the apartment where he was hiding the cadet took the hostages and barricaded not to be detained. Police surrounded the apartment and began to negotiate with the cadet to release the hostages. He released one and then two hostages. His father also tried to persuade him. Denis Gaponenko surrendered to police after a while. Russian Ground Troops Command sent its investigative group to Omsk to learn the incident.
