Moscow priest killed

Baku â€“ APA. Priest of Saint Thomas Church in south of Moscow Daniil Sisoyev was killed on Thursday, APA reports quoting ITAR-TASS. Unknown masked person entered the church at about 22.40 on November 19 and shot the priest with a muffle gun. The priest was seriously wounded on head and breast and died on the way to hospital. Chaplain Vladimir Strelbitsky was also wounded and hospitalized. He is in stable condition. Russian prosecutorâ€™s organizations launched criminal investigation with charges of murder, assassination attempt and arms traffic. Police suspected religious-motivated crime committed by a Caucasian man.

Moscow police chief Vladimir Kolokoltsev and investigative committee of the Russian prosecutorâ€™s office are controlling the investigation. Kolokoltsev visited the site and made some recommendations to the investigators. Spokesman for the Russian interior ministry Valeri Gribakin said high-level professionals were involved in the investigation.
