Moscow – APA. “Georgia may again attack South Ossetia and Abkhazia, we do not rule out it,” chief of Russia’s Intelligence Agency Alexander Shlyakhturov said, APA reports. According to him, Georgia’s attack to South Ossetia was something reckless.
“Georgia took this step without taking into consideration a number of factors, including the possible developments. This situation may be repeated, because Georgia is trying to restore its military potential by buying munitions. NATO, Israel and Ukraine continue offering military assistance to Tbilisi. NATO members, first of all countries of the Eastern Europe sell munitions to Georgia. The US carries out military exercises of the armed forces in the country, Israel sells drones, Ukraine tanks and aid defense weapons,” he said.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev decreed in January last year on stopping military-technical cooperation with the countries selling munitions to Georgia.
