Tbilisi – APA. Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze addressed the Russian president renouncing his Russian citizenship, APA reports. “I addressed the Russian president about renouncing the Russian citizenship and sent my Russian passport together with a letter to Moscow. I would like to ease their work because there is no procedure about expatriation in the Russian Constitution”. On Tuesday, member of the Russian State Duma Semen Bagdasarov asked the relevant organizations to deprive Vashadze’s passport. “I am irritated that the person close to Mikhail Saakashvili and sent strong messages to Russia carries the Russian passport”. But members of Duma didn’t support Bagdasarov’s proposal not to intensify tensions between Russia and Georgia. Grigol Vashadze received the Russian passport in 1991 and became the Georgian citizen in 2004.
